Transforming a static brand identity into an energetic 2D animated sequence for the YDC "InnoMind" program opening ceremony.

Before opening any design software, I collaborated with event organizers to define specific video requirements. This involved discussing screen details to ensure the aspect ratio worked perfectly for the final output. We established the ideal duration for the opening ceremony and identified mandatory brand elements for prominent placement. I facilitated discussions to settle on an energetic and innovative feel, which allowed me to storyboard the flow and plan transitions before moving into production.
Because usable vector source files were not available, I performed a full reconstruction by manually tracing the provided flattened graphics. I meticulously recreated every element within Adobe Illustrator, including the diverse cast of characters, amusement park attractions, and detailed environmental backgrounds. I also designed custom motion effect layers to serve as visual cues for the upcoming animation phase.
To align with the "Theme Park" concept, I applied physics based motion. I focused on the momentum of the rollercoaster and the rhythmic rotation of the ferris wheel. By using easing and timing curves in After Effects, I created a sense of "gravity" that made the digital world feel tangible and exciting.
I brought the InnoLand residents to life with subtle character animations, ensuring the environment felt populated and active. The transition from a static "map" to a moving "world" was designed to mirror the journey of an entrepreneur: starting with a blueprint and moving into dynamic action.
Sound is 50 percent of the experience. I curated and synced a professional, upbeat audio track that matched the energetic pulses of the animation. Every "dip" in the rollercoaster and every "pop" of a UI element was timed to the beat to reinforce the program’s innovative spirit.
