Visual Communication & Poster Design

A collection of work focused on bridging the gap between artistic narrative and functional information design. From cultural exhibitions to community outreach, I specialize in creating high-impact visuals that guide the viewer through storytelling and clear hierarchy.

Hometown: Peng Mingsheng Photographic Exhibition
Designed to evoke nostalgia, this poster pairs high-contrast monochrome photography with bold red calligraphy. The layout bridges historical memory with modern exhibition design, balancing a quiet artistic atmosphere with clear, legible event details.
Exploring Dunhuang: Cultural Lecture Poster
To honor the historical depth of Dunhuang, I developed a layout that balances educational storytelling with visual elegance. Using a warm, parchment-inspired palette, the design organizes complex event details and multiple sponsor logos while keeping the iconic architecture as the clear focal point.
An Artistic Unison: Exhibition Poster
This design bridges the gap between traditional Chinese ink wash painting and contemporary graphic design. By intersecting classic calligraphy with modern geometric abstraction, I created a dynamic visual language that represents the collaboration of three distinct artists in a single, unified composition.
Hanging Around: Community Event Poster
To capture the youthful energy of this cultural market, I used a vibrant, pop-art-inspired color palette and custom block typography. The design utilizes a clear icon system and color-coding to distinguish between the market, workshops, and music segments, making the multi-day event schedule inviting and easy to navigate.
Hanging Around: Winter Music Showcase
I adapted the "Hanging Around" event identity into a "cool" winter edition, using a frosted blue palette and snowflake motifs. The layout features circular framing to highlight the individual musical performers, creating an intimate yet festive atmosphere that encourages community engagement during the winter season.
Mirror & Error: Fandom Culture Webinar
I collaborated with a social worker to design this high-energy poster for a youth-focused webinar exploring fandom trends. Using a vibrant, neon aesthetic and photo-in-text masking, the design was specifically crafted to grab the attention of teenagers, bridging the gap between social services and youth pop culture.
